We’re proud to announce that Shelly Glandon is a finalist for the Shirley Wilka Perseverance Award, a category of the Tucson Metro Chamber’s annual Copper Cactus awards. Shelly was nominated for her hard work, resilience, and commitment to the long term success of our company and clients. Her logical thinking and natural curiosity are key traits to her resiliency when adjusting to change in staff, clients, or the business environment, especially during the pandemic. She responds calmly and thoughtfully to dynamic situations and asks her colleagues and clients to consider creative options when faced with unexpected challenges.
The Copper Cactus Awards are presented by the Tucson Metro Chamber to individuals and organizations in Southern Arizona in several categories of achievement. The Shirley Wilka Perseverance Award honors a woman who started working at Tucson Metro Chamber as a high school intern in 1971 and continued to work at the Chamber for 50 consecutive years. This award was created to celebrate her legacy as well as to recognize other hardworking, loyal and resilient individuals.
The award winners in all categories will be announced at the Copper Cactus gala on September 23, 2022.
